Business Development Representative

Role Overview

As a Business Development Representative (BDR), you’ll drive growth by identifying prospective clients, initiating conversations, and connecting them with the right insurance and investment strategies. You will be key in scaling our client base and positioning SmartFP as a lifelong financial ally.


Key Responsibilities

· Generate and qualify leads through digital campaigns, events, referrals, and outbound reach-outs.

· Present SmartFP’s offerings and value proposition with clarity and empathy.

· Schedule and coordinate client consultations for Financial Advisors.

· Track interactions in CRM and maintain accurate lead status reports.

· Collaborate with marketing and advisory teams to drive lead conversion.

· Stay informed about LIC product features, updates, and market trends.


Qualifications & Competencies

· Graduate/Postgraduate in Finance, Commerce, or related field (MBA preferred).

· Fresh graduates/ postgraduates or up to 2 years of experience in financial sales or insurance.

· Strong interpersonal and communication skills (English, Hindi, Marathi preferred).

· Goal-oriented mindset with commitment to ethical sales practices.

· Familiarity with LIC products or personal finance is an added advantage.

· Willingness to undergo onboarding training and monthly knowledge assessments.

· Must clear Pre-Recruitment Test within 15 days of joining.
